Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the most common questions regarding video and audio downloading.
What platforms can MediaKit download videos from?
MediaKit officially supports public videos from YouTube (including Shorts), TikTok, Instagram (Reels & feeds), Facebook (watch & Reels), and Pinterest (videos, GIFs & Idea Pins).
How does automatic platform detection work?
When you paste a link, MediaKit parses the URL domain and path structure in real time to invoke the specialized extractor for that platform with zero manual configuration required.
Are there any software installations or browser extensions needed?
No. MediaKit operates entirely within standard desktop and mobile web browsers including Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.
Can I download videos in batch mode?
Yes. Switch to the Batch tab on the downloader above to paste up to 25 URLs across multiple platforms and process them simultaneously.
Why is a specific quality or 4K option sometimes not shown?
MediaKit only presents stream options that the original creator uploaded and that the hosting platform makes accessible. If the source was recorded in 720p or 1080p, higher resolutions cannot be synthesized.
